সম্প্রতি পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি বিভাগ আয়োজিত আন্তর্বিদ্যালয় নাট্য উৎসবে আমাদের ছেলেরা Hans Christian Anderson এর The Emperor's New Clothes অবলম্বনে "রাজা আছেন বেশ" নাটকে অনবদ্য অভিনয় করে মন কেড়ে নিয়েছে সবার। 12টি বিদ্যালয় এই নাট্য উৎসবে অংশগ্রহণ করেছিল : গোখেল মেমোরিয়াল গার্লস স্কুল, বিধান নগর মিউনিসিপ্যাল স্কুল, রামকৃষ্ণ মিশন নরেন্দ্রপুর পাঠভবন, Loreto Day School, বেথুন কলেজিয়েট স্কুল, বাগবাজার multipurpose গার্লস স্কুল, বরানগর গার্লস স্কুল, Adamas International School, যাদবপুর বিদ্যাপীঠ, উত্তরপাড়া গভর্নমেন্ট হাই স্কুল ও আমাদের স্কুল। যোধপুর পার্ক বয়েজ স্কুল শুধু প্রথম স্থান নয় Best Original Music Score এর জন্যও পেয়েছে বিশেষ পুরস্কার। অভিনন্দন আমাদের সমস্ত শিক্ষকদের , ছাত্রদের ও অভিভাবকদের যারা বার বার অনুপ্রাণিত করেছেন নাটকের rehearsal থেকে আনুষঙ্গিক সবকিছুতে ছেলেদের অংশগ্রহণ করার। শিশুমন কল্পনাপ্রবণ, সর্বদা অনুকরণপ্রিয়। তাদের ইন্দ্রিয়শক্তি প্রবল। বয়স বাড়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে শিশুর কল্পনার পরিবর্তন ঘটে। নিজেকে প্রকাশ করার জন্য নানান পথের সন্ধান করে। শিক্ষার্থীর এই প্রবল প্রাণচাঞ্চল্যকে শিক্ষাকার্যে প্রয়োগের অন্যতম মাধ্যম হল অভিনয় পদ্ধতি বা নাটকীয় পদ্ধতি (Dramatization Method) তাই এই নাট্য উৎসবের এমন Platform আমাদের ছেলেদের করে দেবার জন্য আমরা অকুন্ঠ ধন্যবাদ জানাই পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের শিশু ও কিশোর একাডেমির আধিকারিকদের। আমাদের প্রতিটি ছাত্র নিজস্ব স্বকীয়তায় অনন্য। উপযুক্ত প্রশিক্ষণ পেলে তারা আগামী দিনে আমাদের সবাইকে বারংবার গৌরবান্বিত করবেই। নাটকে অংশগ্রহণকারী ছাত্রদের নাম, নির্দেশকদের নাম দেয়া হল। যোধপুর পার্ক বয়েজ স্কুল নিবেদিত নাটক - রাজা আছেন বেশ —অংশগ্রহণে— রাজা— সায়নদীপ দত্ত, প্রধানমন্ত্রী — অনুরূপ মুখোপাধ্যায়, অর্থমন্ত্রী— দীপ্র পাল, খাদ্যমন্ত্রী— শিবম ঘোষ, শিক্ষামন্ত্রী – শুভম ঘোষ, জোচ্চোর ১ – অর্ণব নস্কর, জোচ্চোর ২- সায়ন দাস, ঘোষক – সৌম্যদীপ দাস, সৈনিক — শুভদীপ দাস, সভাসদ ১ – রিশ সরদার, সভাসদ ২ – অর্ণব মজুমদার, সভাসদ ৩— অনুব্রত দাস, সভাসদ ৪ – ঋতব্রত দাস, সভাসদ ৫– স্বর্ণাভ রুদ্র, ব্যক্তিগণ — অংশু নস্কর, শাশ্বত বিশ্বাস, ইন্দ্রজিৎ নন্দন, দীপক জানা, সৌমিক দে, আয়ুষ্মান গোস্বামী, শৌভিক দাস, অরিন্দম দত্ত রায়, সুশোভন মণ্ডল, অঙ্কিত হীরা, শিশু — ঈশান ব্যানার্জি গান এবং বাজনা — বিষ্ণু দাস, অগ্র দাস, সপ্তক সরকার, নিবিত আচার্য, নির্ণয় দে, শুভম নস্কর, বিক্রমজিৎ ভৌমিক, রুদ্র সর্দার নির্দেশনা— বিহান মণ্ডল সহনির্দেশনা— রীতা মণ্ডল, স্বরূপ সরকার। প্রত্যেক কলাকুশলীকে অভিনন্দন। এত বড় স্টেজে তোমরা এত সাবলীল। একটু মনোনিবেশ করলেই পড়াশুনায় চমৎকার রেজাল্ট করতে তোমরা প্রত্যেকে সক্ষম।
BIO DIVERSITY GARDEN
The Biodiversity Garden in Jodhpur Park Boys School, Kolkata, West Bengal is an initiative designed to promote the conservation of local biodiversity by creating a horizontal mini-park and garden within school campus. The programme aims to provide opportunities for students to learn about and interact with local flora and fauna, as well as to develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment.The initiative involves creating an area within the school ground that is dedicated to the growth and protection of native plant and animal species. The Biodiversity garden inside Jodhpur Park Boys School includes trees, shrubs, and flowers that are native to the state of Bengal, creating habitats for butterflies and insects and implementing sustainable gardening practices. The benefits of the Biodiversity garden in Jodhpur Park Boys School initiative are numerous. By exposing students to local biodiversity, they can develop a greater appreciation for the natural world and a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting it. Additionally, the programme helps to mitigate the effects of urbanization by creating green spaces that support local ecosystems and promote biodiversity.
The idea of creating a bio diversity garden in the school campus of Jodhpur Park Boys School that promotes biodiversity and environmental sustainability was conceptualized by the Headmaster of the school, Shri Amit Sen Majumder right after the pandemic in 2021. The school had an open space inside its front entrance that had degenerated into a waste ground during the prolonged school closure during Covid 19 Pandemic. The goal was to create a space out of that wasteland that would support plant and animal life, while also providing a beautiful and live learning tool for students. The concept of a biodiversity garden is closely tied to the principles of sustainable gardening, which emphasizes the use of environmentally friendly practices such as composting, natural pest control, and water conservation. Overall, the idea of a biodiversity garden was conceptualized as a way to create a beautiful, sustainable, and ecologically diverse space that supports both the natural world and human well-being.
Mini Science Centre (MSC)
A Mini Science Centre (MSC) has been set up in Jodhpur Park Boys School to help in teaching Science and Maths to school children in a simpler way. It is innovative and interactive with a hands-on approach to facilitate the learning process. The centre consists of 80 Science and Math models. As the models are plug & play, students can understand the concepts by observing them, thus igniting curiosity resulting in engagement. The models are mapped with the syllabus of the West Bengal Board and Council.
